Enjoyment is when?

After coming in to understanding my near future, I've realized it may be time to rid myself of such a list of miniatures.  The problems I may be facing in the near future is realizing I may not receive what I'd like to and where this money will continue to pay it forward.

I don't want to wish I hadn't done something but I believe it will be a worth while venture.  It's much better than selling the car if it will help take the edge off the issue at hand.  I do believe that Bartertown is the way to go and will start posting them in large chunks.  Not knowing who will bite, I'll break it down further if they don't sell.  I'll post Armies first then move down from there.  Having Skaven, Lizardmen, Dark Elves, and VC it will be interesting to see where this leads me (not even counting the older Empire and O&G I have still somewhere around).

This just seems to be the next step to something and after realizing this and while typing slowly, I do believe this is the best thing for me.  Less miniatures, more something else.  Life moves on! The right way, the best way, a way in which life will change for the better.

The next step question is really without the load of minis what really will be my next bigger fun.  I'm sure that bike riding will always be present but what about guns and my families safety?   Surely one of these would take the first place easily!

Twelve Elements of War - kickstarter Alive/Dead?

Dadgum, wish it hadn't happened the way it did but it did. They had so much interest they decided to pull the kickstarter and now they are offline ot revamp and improve their system since there was so much interest in their product. It's sad but glad. I'm still wondering, since I only joined kickstarter to find a game like this to take the place of GW, whether I'll even have the money to put up for a great game system like this. Who knows, life changes a lot though.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup!

Twelve elements of war started over at kick starter.  Looks like a great game and is already at 74% funded under two days.  See the  twelve-elements-of-war and know I'm a backer at the exciting 155 level and can't wait to pledge more when they hit their expansion levels.

There's a smell of Kickstarter in the air or is that Christmas?

I've noticed an uptick of Kickstarters and I'll remind myself of one I'm going for as a Christmas gift from the family.

First one up is my personal favorite and one I am going to give up GW for if they turn out well.  Yahoo for more models coming and I pray the simplicity in their rules really enables a fun game to take place.
Link is here: sword and board games

The War and Empire seen with 15mm ancient warriors.  Interesting but is anyone playing 15mm lately or are we still claiming 28mm doesn't take up too much space?  Either way, I'm not a follower of the norm and really like these models!  Take a look at Anatolis for his review and more information.

The last one we should all keep an eye out for later next year is the Castle Kickstarter from miniature building authority with a  pretty cool update to their current castle system.  Here's a great picture of what they have from Tabletop Fix.

Vampire counts close

Folks I've been picking these out for a while. I've still got to put the grass on and then move to varnish. I'm happy with the results even if they took longer than expected.  The red cape on the second picture turned out really well.  I decided to soften the highlight by using Fortress Gray and not Skull White. The third picture with the Blood Dragon BSB and his Gold NMM really turned out well too. I believe it's my most favorite part of the miniature.  In the last picture, the Strigoi has removable wings with a pin through it.  I still would like to try out magnets but the budget won't allow me yet.  These models were also the first time I tried Tutofig.com and Steel NMM.  I believe the blades look great for the tabletop and I can't wait to do battle with a few characters now in my games.
