Kensei Army Deal

I love Tabletop fix for keeping me involved with things I have no reason to try to get.  Especially this nice looking army from Zenit Miniatures.  I'm guessing they are 28mm models?  See HERE for more information.

Another great place to look at Back 2 Base-ix!  YAY for TableTop Fix again!

Terrain making the Mark Waddington way, Pt. 1

A great and easy way to make terrain coming from a local to my area.  See some more work from their website here: Northwest Historical Mini Gamer.

Besides this I have yet to base five of my ACW 15mm Confederate Models.  I can only guess where the models came from.  Some look very old and others seem to be from the same place.  Maybe one day I'll care about it a bit more.  Look forward to cranking these little gits out once I get my system down.  It is really nice to sit down and do something else besides GW.

I have still yet to find a place that even thinks about playing DBM/A/whatever.  The rules seem to be out there but I wonder if the split up amongst the original creators has also split up the fun and play amongst the fans?  Only time will tell.

James Wappel!

This is just incredible from an amazing individual with a brush.  See James Wappel for this incredible army.  I wonder if I could do that?Photobucket

Table Top Fix

A few great miniatures are shown over at Table Top Fix.  They are showing a new Pike&Shotte boxed set from Warlord Games, an Egyption chariot, and Chaos Dwarf Bull Centaurs.  Completely awesome stuff.

2 Followers and a few inspirations

Holy cow 2 Folks to look at all these links I like to put up.  I feel sorry for you all but there are tons of interesting things within.

I saw someone finally do a great job at giving some battle damage to historical miniatures.  So many folks like to paint them really well and then don't add any battle abuse and damage.  Lead Mountain - Roman Saga.

The use of some pretty cool hues and saturation was done over at 15mm Paint Shack.  The fact he doesn't paint the eyes really makes his painting style look realistic too.

Over at Saxon Dog there are some great looking Claymore models being tried out for the first time.  I really love the banners.

Over atWargame News and Terrain there is a really cool mini of a Caraccio from Perry miniatures.  Awesome stuff indeed.  Not familiar with this period or a Caraccio, who knows what that really is?  A reliquary device?

Jawaballs has been doing some great work on a biker for 40k here at: Feast of Blades.  And an unfortunate and beleaguered Capt's Blog bemoans his overwhelming unfinished forces of 15mm.  I have no sympathy.  I just wish I was in the same boat.
